"What a Lady Most Desires" by Lecia Cornwall. I really enjoyed this one. The love Delphine feels for Stephen is beyond words yet he fights his attraction and struggles to believe she isn't what he thought she was. She is patient, kind, loving and so understanding. Stephen is battling so much - wounded at war, blindness and a court-martial yet Delphine is the peace in his storm. Ms. Cornwall does a stupendous job of describing each and every detail. I was able to visualize exactly what Delphine's dress not only looked like but the texture also, to the flowers and smells of the gardens to the bloody war scene. She also does a fantastic job of expressing the feelings of the characters - from love to heartache to anger and fear. This is one that I highly recommend and know that it is one that I will most likely read again.
