RAFE by Sawyer Bennett. This tells the tale of Rafe and Calliope. I adored both of these characters. They have a history together that didn't end well, yet the love and respect for each other is obvious from the start. Rafe returns home to spend time with his ailing father. Calliope, a long time friend of the family too, is there to support him, despite how things ended between them. I loved her - she is so full of life and honest and simply, a good person. Rafe couldn't be any more sexier - his love for his family and for Calliope is unending and shows. Ms. Bennett does an amazing job of reaching out to the reader and making them feel all the feels. I smiled and cried and had my heart broken and yet she made it whole again too. It was fun to revisit some characters from the Cold Fury series as they are near and dear to my heart as well. The only drawback for me, was it is a novella and way to short - I am greedy and wanted more! Thoroughly enjoyed this tale - can't wait to read more that this author has to offer.
