EXCERPT

“Wow. You’re a vision, you know that?” He practically drools all over. She wears a pair of blue jeans and a low cut green sweater with a white scarf wrapped around her neck. Her hair is up, and she wears light make up.

She chuckles. “Like what you see?” She smirks at him, daunting him. The little vixen can come out and play when she wants and he is enjoying this side of the sexy Gracelynn.

He decides to play dirty himself. “Want to see how happy I am to see you?” He smirks back at her. “Let’s make a wager, shall we?” he asks competitively.

She grins at him. She intently twirls a strand of her hair that she left down by her face between her fingers, licks her lips and stares at him. She looks him up and down, making him even more drawn to her.

He gulps. The damn vixen knows how to play dirty.

“Well, what is the wager? Because if it is staring at each other all night, I could do that and then some.”

CAT'S REVIEW

"Granted Wishes" by Tanya Vought. This is a love story about two people that are both lost in their grief that end up finding each other.  I enjoyed watching the relationship develop between Gracelynn and Gio.  It progressed at a slower pace than many romance novels, which isn't a bad thing but, unfortunately, at times it seemed a bit too slow.  I felt for both characters, knowing the pain and heartache they experienced in the past, and, it's always nice to see someone that is struggling move on and to find someone to do that with.  The story was a bit choppy for me - I suppose it was almost too descriptive at times for it to flow easily.  There was also the voices - that was a bit of a surprise and I wasn't quite sure what to make of them.  Ms. Vought worked to include some drama and suspsene amid the love story and I have to say, I was a bit on edge while reading those events.  Overall, this is an enjoyable read but for me, there was a few quirks that just didn't work.  I will read future works my Ms. Vought as I believe she is on her way.   (received copy for honest review)

★★★.5
