BOOK SUMMARY
Bestselling author Melinda Leigh revisits the small upstate
New York town of Scarlet Falls with a spin-off series
featuring former prosecutor Morgan Dane. Following the
death of her husband in the Iraq war, Morgan returns to
Scarlet Falls to heal for herself and her three young
daughters. But just as she starts to rebuild her life—and
find love again—a new tragedy strikes putting Morgan once
again in harm’s way.
Young mother Chelsea Clark leaves the house for a girls’
night out . . . and vanishes. Her family knows she would
never voluntarily leave her two small children. Her
desperate husband—also the prime suspect—hires Morgan
to find his wife and prove his innocence.
As a single mother, Morgan sympathizes with Chelsea’s family and is determined to find her. She teams up
with private investigator Lance Kruger. But the deeper they dig, the deadlier their investigation gets. When
Morgan is stalked by a violent predator, everything—and everyone—she holds dear is in grave danger.
Now, Morgan must track down a deranged criminal to protect her own family . . . but she won’t need to
leave home to find him. She’s his next target.
Praise for Melinda Leigh’s Say You’re Sorry
“Complex characters, a web of small-town relationships,
and intriguing legal details keep the pages turning and add
depth to the growing relationship between Morgan and
Lance as well as Morgan’s recovery from her husband’s
death.” —Publishers Weekly

CAT'S REVIEW
HER LAST GOODBYE by Melinda Leigh. Wow! This one is filled with suspense and danger. It's a white-knuckle edge of your seat thriller. Ms. Leigh has a terrific knack for keeping the reader on their toes. Every time I think I know who the bad buy is, boom, she throws in a twist that had me second guessing my choice. Having met our heroine, Morgan, and Hero, Lance in SAY YOU'RE SORRY, it was nice to see them again and be familiar with them. I enjoyed watching their relationship grow. On that note, this is definitely more of a thriller then a romance but there's a sprinkle of love thrown throughout. The story, while suspenseful, is also filled with the love and support of family. While this the second book of the series, in my opinion, it is not necessary to read the first, however, it would give you some background to Morgan, Lance and several other prominent figures in the story. I really enjoyed this and hope there will be future tales of the Morgan Dane series in the future. (received ARC for honest review)
