"Feel Me" by Cecy Robson. Wow! Ms. Robson sure does sock a punch with this one. I was an emotional wreck at times but, as only Ms. Robson can do, I was smiling and chuckling at times too. The heroine of this story, Melissa, is hearing impaired but she doesn't let that, nor a rough start to her life, define her. I really, really liked Melissa - she's strong and tough, yet underneath it all, vulnerable and soft. Declan O'Brien, well, I can't say he didn't want me to smack him once or twice but he still grabbed a piece of my heart and didn't let go. There are ups and downs for this couple and this kept me turning each page to see if a HEA could or would happen for these two. The story itself certainly has some tough issues that these two deal with as they work in the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse unit, but I felt the author handled this well. Ms. Robson's writing style is fluid and reads effortlessly. Despite being book four of the series, it can be read alone, although reading the previous is highly recommended because they just as good too. (received copy for honest review)
