Ms. Harris has done it again! "Hot & Bothered" is an action packed love story that kept me turning the pages to see what would happen. Emily and Ryan - two lovers that shouldn't be but who can fight love? Emily is a sweet and kind woman that is also strong and will fight for what is right. At times, she was fragile and vulnerable and yet, she was ready and able to kick some butt when the time came. She was a tad bit annoying at times though. She was working to overcome trauma yet all of a sudden she was ready and willing to go to battle. That didn't sit well with me but not so badly that it took away from the story. Ryan, a swoon-worthy hero, only wanted to keep her safe. Although he might not communicate his feelings well (what guy does!), he truly was looking out for her well being and I thought she was a bit too stubborn about some of the details. Ms. Harris has written a story that moves at a good pace and has characters I liked. The storyline is one of danger and intrigue that keeps the reader involved. This entire series has rocked and if you enjoy romance that has sexy military guys and heroines that can hold their own, don't miss out on any of the HOSTILE OPERATIONS team's stories.
