"Charming the Beast" by Cynthia Eden.  Connor and Chloe - two lost souls that find each other.  Connor, a tough, no-nonsense, controlling werewolf-vampire and Chloe, a sweet, scared woman that's not fully sure what she is.  Connor's job is to protect her from those that want her.  And there are lots of opportunities for him to protect her.  This book is filled with action and danger.  I would have liked to have seen a bit more of the development of their relationship - a lot of focus was on the story of Chloe's background and who was after her.  My heart did break, often, for Connor - he truly falls in love, despite not believing he can.  Ms. Eden, once again, does a really good job of entertaining us - a perfect Halloween treat!! 
This is Book 3 of the Purgatory series.  I would recommend reading the first two, although it is not totally necessary. Ms. Eden does recap but the story flowed better, for me at least, knowing the full stories behind the characters.     (Received copy from NetGalley for honest review)

Ms. Eden has once again delivered!  "Marked by the Vampire" is filled with passion, suspense, romance, some sexy alphas and some steamy scenes too!  Olivia is a doctor studying the minds of serial killers, now looking to study paranormals turned bad!  Shane is an undercover FBI agent who also happens to be one of the strongest alpha vampires around.  At first sight, he knows Olivia is more and every paranormal wants her.  The fight and struggle to discover Olivia's secrets and keep the bad guys away is non stop action throughout.  I liked Olivia - she only wanted to help others. Shane is the ultimate sexy alpha, willing to kill anyone that threatens his love.  Together, they were a force of nature!  This is a quick read but one that you shouldn't miss!  (Received copy from NetGalley for honest review)
