"Every Part of You: Tempts Me" - Part One (Megan Hart)

"Every Part of You: Tempts Me" (pt. 1) by Megan Hart. This is part one of Elliot and Simone's story. I love Simone - she's feisty and funny, but deep down is vulnerable. Elliot is straight-laced and frustrated as heck with his attraction to Simone - she is nothing like his usual conquests. The ending, even though a bit of a cliffhanger, has me ready for the next one to find out what happens on their next date! Although I'm not always a fan of stories that are broken down into short books instead of one longer one, I did enjoy this story so far. ✔✔✔✔ (received copy from NetGalley)

"A Groom for Christmas" (Cara Marsi)

"A Groom for Christmas" by Cara Marsi. I enjoyed this book - Graceann and Jake were so sweet together. It was fun to see them fall in love but both denying it - their interactions with each other as well as her family were heartwarming. I would have liked to see a bit more of their backgrounds explored, especially Jake's. Overall, it was a fairly quick and light read that I really enjoyed! ✔✔✔✔ (received copy from NetGalley)

"Loving Ellie" (Lindsey Brookes)

"
"Loving Ellie" by Lindsey Brookes. The story of Ellie and Lucas. Overall the story was good but for some reason I had a hard time connecting with the H/h. Ellie was a bit whiny, at least in her thoughts - she also said she would only ever accept love for marriage but gave in to Jarrett because she was pregnant, knowing that she didn't truly love him. I liked Lucas more but, again, I felt it was a bit drawn out - all their hangups got old after a bit. I'm glad they found a HEA - they both did deserve it. ✔✔✔ (received copy from NetGalley)

Sure, Johanna can handle a week traveling the country with her ex-fiancé to fulfilll his dying grandmother's request. She and Stone want different things—plain and simple. Excerpt:
..."What are you doing?"

"You said you didn't want to talk." Sure he knew they weren't really going to have sex on his desk, but he reveled in the regret in her eyes that she couldn't hide in spite of her scowl.

"You're being outrageous."

"Good."

"Stop. Now," she said firmly.

Okay, he'd pushed her far enough for today, but he could see that while their love for each other might have burned out, their passion still had plenty of fire.

He buttoned his shirt again and tucked in the tails.  "Spoilsport."

She brushed papers into a stack. "The pilot's waiting."

"Damn waste of an empty desk," he said with a smile...

My Thoughts on "One Good Cowboy" by Catherine Mann....
This is the story of Stone and Johanna.  His grandmother is ill and has issued him a job to find homes for her dogs.  His helper? His ex-fiance, Johanna.   They both need to work to overcome past obstacles and recognize the love and chemistry they share together.  Ms. Mann has once again written a story with a lot of feeling and emotion and passion.   The story of the reunion of Stone and Johanna is also filled with dogs! (For dog lovers, that's a big plus!)  I would highly recommend "One Good Cowboy" and look forward to the next story in the series.
